As a counterpoint to Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Small Business Saturday was established in 2010 to encourage customers to shop at local and small businesses.

What is Giving Tuesday?
Giving Tuesday is an international day of charitable giving at the beginning of the Christmas shopping season that is held annually on the Tuesday after Black Friday and always falls between November 27 and December 3.
The movement describes itself as a “global generosity movement” whose the aim is to encourage people to “give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity”. In response to the global Covid-19 pandemic of 2020, an extra Giving Tuesday was held on May 5, 2020.
